Eleven

She recognizes the sympathy on his face. Mike had looked at her like that, when they'd first met. It's meant to be a good thing, and the fact that he says they might be in the same classes confirms that for her. She offers him a small, shy smile, the first one since she'd stepped off the wrong bus into the wrong city.

"I would... like that," she admits. She almost surprises herself to find it's true. She would like to have someone familiar in her classes, even if she's only known him for a few minutes.
